This unit requires the operator to be able to plan the work, conduct routine checks on the forklift, shift loads in a safe manner, and shut down and secure the equipment after the completion of operations.
This unit is based on the national standard for licensing persons performing high risk work. It specifies the outcomes required for the operation of a powered industrial truck equipped with a mast and an elevating load carriage to which is attached a pair of fork arms or other attachment, for licensing purposes.
On successful completion of this two (2) day course, all competent students will be issued with a Statement of Attainment for RIIHAN201D Operate a Forklift. A logbook will be issued for students to record 40 hours of supervised operation.
On completion of the Log Book and Final Assessment day a Statement of Attainment will be issued to all competent students for the TLILIC2001 – Licence to Operate a Forklift Truck. All competent students of TLILIC2001 will be responsible to apply for their licence online with WHSQ. Successful applicants will receive an AS1 form and ‘Guidelines for making Application for a Qld High Risk Work Licence’.
