It includes: identifying the work requirements, work procedures and instructions for the task; accessing and installing equipment; performing work at heights; and cleaning up the work area.

This unit specifies the competency required to undertake safe working practices when working at heights or depths.

This unit is appropriate for those working in operational roles, at worksites within:

• Civil construction
• Coal mining
• Drilling
• Extractive industries
• Metalliferous mining

Certificate Issue

All competent students will receive a Statement of Attainment upon successful completion of the above unit of competency which forms partial completion of the RII20215 Certificate II in Surface Extraction Operations.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

As a prerequisite, all participants must submit a copy of their previous qualification which must be within five years of the issue date.
