Course information

Following consultation with various stakeholders, two units of competency were identified as the preferred pathway over the various skill sets released in the new TAE Package. These two units are the newly replaced competencies formally known as TAEDEL301 &TAEASS402 which formed part of the old TAESS00015 Enterprise Trainer and Assessor Skill Set. These units will be delivered as standalone units (not a skill set).

This program will provide learners with the skills and knowledge to deliver training, provide work skill instruction and assesses competence.

This program involves the following components:

  • Identifying, recognising and responding to individual learner needs
  • Planning and organising work skill instruction sessions
  • Delivering Work Skill Instruction
  • Using effective communication techniques and modifying instruction based on learner feedback
  • Maintaining accurate records of work skill instruction and assessment activities
  • Planning Assessment and identifying assessment requirements
  • Contextualising assessment tools
  • Conducting Assessment
  • Administering assessment activities in accordance with established protocols
  • Observing and collecting a range of evidence to make valid judgements on competence
  • Providing constructive feedback to learners regarding their performance
  • Reporting assessment outcomes to relevant stakeholders
  • Participating in the evaluation and improvement of assessment practices

 

Target Group

Individuals working within the Resource & Infrastructure industry delivering and assessing non-accredited training in the workplace.

 

Course Requirements

  • Computer with reliable internet access
  • Microsoft Word and PowerPoint (or compatible software)
  • Basic computer skills to navigate the Coal Train online learner portal
